I am not a critic by any means, just an average reader who really enjoys a good book. Upon finishing the first chapter, the author had me enthralled and intrigued with his storyline, so much so I could not put this book down. His creation of that world took me on a visual journey as I continued to read on. Of course, a little love theme in there kept my interests peeked. This book is in a class of its own and I do highly recommend it. It is a good read!Product details

I love the fantasy genre, but how many times can a single soul epically save the world in a long and trialed journey. This book was something else entirely. It has the feel as if a whole new world and ethos exists and you the viewer are learning it all one layer at a time. In the opening chapter you begin to learn about this worlds ethos and then find yourself on a journey more attuned to a epic greek poem then to a model of Tolkein. The author gives incredibly vivid details without a lot of internal musings and moanings which can drone on for pages. Instead each page advances the storyline and each scene is beautifully described. Something big is coming and I can't wait to read then next installment.
Roberts has begun an epic journey into a well developed new world. I'm generally skeptical about any new author but was pleasantly surprised with Wielder of the Void. The plot moves along nicely without stalling constantly like many fantasy writers. Roberts' concepts of a 'magic' system are well developed, and his creation design story gives a unique twist to the concept. I definitely enjoyed reading Roberts' first work and look forward to the next installment of the journey.
It's the fantasy novel I always wanted but couldn't find. Something new, without elves and dwarves but with new races, new mythology and new environs to explore. Broad of scope, depth of development and intricacy without being encumbered by 'filler' to validate the tale. Find more at[...]]
Just received this book and love how the story is progressing. The authors ability to portray the action is on par or better than most books that I read. Love it!
